Ellis & Abramowitz Orthodontics has long had an outstanding reputation for quality orthodontic care in the Polk County area, with locations in Bartow, Lake Wales, Wauchula and Winter Haven. With the retirement of Dr. Timothy Ellis, the quality of care remains strong with Dr. Ilan Abramowitz. However, the practice locations, name and website have evolved to better reflect the mission – Deliver a WOW experience. “We wanted to continue striving to provide the ultimate care in our community,” said Dr. Abramowitz. “We selected EASMILES, which stands for ‘Everything About Smiles.’ When you change someone’s smile, you change everything.”
The EASMILES team is devoted to putting patients’ needs and comfort first. “We focus on the patient experience, and we want every interaction to be great,” said Dr. Abramowitz. Reservations, not appointments, are set to provide whatever patients’ need. Flexibility to do everything in one reservation is built in, so patients require fewer visits. The team also works with patients to make best use of their insurance and to establish convenient payment plans.
While quality service is a key goal, sound orthodontic experience and technique is the foundation for AMAZING results. “This is ORTHODONTICS by an ORTHODONTIST. We specialize in this, and do this all day, every day,” said Dr Abramowitz. He noted that technology is always changing, but good technique is vital; his passion for the science and engineering behind his work is evident. “I believe in continuous learning. Focusing mainly on orthodontic technology, we are able to use tools and techniques to do things that could not be done before. With 3D scanning, digital x-rays, and digital models, we can see more; like how tooth extraction affects airways. I can look at a person’s smile and facial profile and see how they will change with braces. I know how aging affects people’s smiles. We don’t just close gaps and bond braces, we customize each case to achieve the best result.” Dr. Abramowitz said patients, and parents of patients, who have had previous orthodontic care are pleasantly surprised by how much less intrusive today’s braces and Invisalign treatment options are.
Dr. Abramowitz earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and completed his certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in orthodontics at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics. He and his family have enjoyed the community they found here since 2009. He belongs to Lakeland Downtown Rotary Club, and multiple Chambers of Commerce (Lakeland, Bartow, Lake Wales, and Winter Haven). Professional affiliations include the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Polk County Dental Association, the Spear Study Club, and membership to a prestigious orthodontic study group (The Progressive Study Club).
“My core value is to provide the ultimate experience. Not just with straight teeth, but in life. I want to be an integral part of our community for years to come.” Dr. Abramowitz said.
